For six years prior to attending law school I had worked as a paralegal at a number of immigration law firms in Las Vegas and was involved in a variety of immigration cases.
For my undergraduate studies I attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), where I earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy. The study of philosophy, particularly logical theories and philosophy of language, was an extremely influential part of my earlier education. It advanced my critical reasoning and analytical abilities, which play an indispensable role in my practice of law.
Originally from Armenia (a former USSR republic), I am fluent in both the Russian and Armenian languages. I am formerly a Russian and Armenian court translator/interpreter, certified by the Eighth Judicial District Court of the State of Nevada.
I am an active member of the Nevada State Bar Association and admitted to practice before the state courts in Nevada as well as the United States Federal District Court for the District of Nevada. I am also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
